PathGen

Works out the right customer acquisition path for a consumer company, given its real constraints.

What it is

PathGen takes a consumer company's actual constraints, including budget, margin, time to first purchase, team, and existing audience, and works out which acquisition path is available to it, and in what order.

Who it's for

B2C founders at the point of choosing a channel, which is usually the point at which they're handed a case study about a company that had none of their constraints.

Why I built it

Channel advice is generic and channel outcomes are not. The right path is a function of your economics, not of what worked for a company with a different margin and a different repeat rate. I kept having the same reasoning conversation with myself in a spreadsheet, and decided to encode it.

How it's built

Channel economics encoded as a model, searched against a declared constraint set, with the reasoning surfaced rather than hidden. The output is an argument for a path, not a ranked list. It ships as a single self-contained HTML tool with no backend, so you can open it and use it immediately.
